Mama Tried Invitational super report


Mama Tried is the name of the indoor invitational motorcycle show, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to showcase the “best, most honest, and most unusual home-built bikes in the Midwest.” The show, held for the first time last february 22nd, featured more than 50 motorcycles built by fabricators of all stripes: flat-tracker, hill climber, chopper or cafe racer. Mama Tried was founded to bring together the many worlds of motorcycles, builders, fans and riders that exist throughout the USA and beyond. Here is the super report of the event. 




Mama Tried è il nome dello show motociclistico al coperto che si tiene a partire da quest'anno a Milwaukee nel Wisconsin, per mostrare le "migliori, più pure e più insolite motociclette autocostruite nel Midwest". Lo spettacolo, tenutosi lo scorso 22 febbraio, ha presentato oltre 50 moto realizzate da costruttori di ogni genere: flat-tracker, hill climber, chopper e cafe racer. Mama Tried è nata per riunire i tanti mondi del motociclismo, costruttori, appassionati e piloti che di tutti gli Stati Uniti e oltre. Ecco il super-report dell'evento.












1983 Buell RW750, the very first Buell motorcycle made. Built to compete in AMA Formula One racing, powered by a 750cc, two-stroke, square-four engine. This bike was once clocked at 178 mph at Talladega.












Matt Quirk’s vintage Puch 175 two-stroke, replica of the GP roadracer of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s.



















Dale Coffman's 1967 Honda CR450, currently raced in 500 GP Premiere by Wes Orloff. It is a replica of the Team Hansen bikes raced at the 1967 Daytona 200. It makes more than double the horsepower of a standard CB450.
