"Fuck the purists and the nostalgic lovers of the old and obsolete big enduro bikes... Huge elephants with tanks that need a capital to be filled, equipped with ugly plastic fairings and shock absorbers that make you seasick... I cut, welded and forged an old Yamaha Teneree, making it an unconventional bike which cannot and doesn’t want to be categorized in any cliché... It's not a scrambler: too low. It's not a dirt-track: the handlebar is too bent. It’s not a street-tracker, because of the knobbly wheels. It’s a male machine. Evil mechanics and a doubtful exercise in style. Are you brave enough to ride it? 55cv and 105 kg, all-aluminum, kick start. Its name is Spacca Ossa (Bone Breaker). The electrical system is ridiculous. The engine is pissed off. This 1992 Yamaha XJ600 was purchased by Ruben Garcia Burcio of Garbur Garage 87 at the end of 2012 with the objective of building a performing and efficient motorcycle preserving all the classic charm of its years. The project began in March 2013 and resulted in four months of intense work, performed in spare time and weekends. 

Questa Yamaha XJ600 del 1992 è stata acquistata da Ruben Garcia Burcio di Garbur Garage 87 a fine 2012 con l’obiettivo di realizzare una moto efficiente e performante ma che conservasse tutto il fascino dei suoi anni. Il progetto ha avuto inizio a marzo 2013 ed ha comportato 4 mesi di intenso lavoro, realizzato nel tempo libero e nei weekend. 

The bike has been completely stripped down. The frame and the engine have been sandblasted and repainted. The subframe has been rebuilt and a 1979 Kawasaki KZ 750 tank has been installed. The painting was deliberately made in order to give an aged appearance, while maintaining the charm of the original rust that the bike had accumulated over time. 

La moto è stata interamente spogliata e il telaio ed il motore sabbiati e riverniciati. Il telaio sottosella è stato ricostruito e per serbatoio è stato scelto quello di una Kawasaki KZ 750 del 1979. La verniciatura è stata realizzata in modo da conferire deliberatamente un aspetto invecchiato, mantenendo il fascino della ruggine che la moto originale aveva accumulato nel tempo. 

The handlebars are laser cut aluminum. The controls with levers reversed arrive from India. The front brake keeps the hydraulic pump. The steering plate has been modified to accommodate the speedometer in an integrated manner. The front fender has been created from the union of several pieces of recovery of Harley mudguards. 

I semimanubri sono in alluminio tagliato al laser. I comandi con le leve invertite arrivano dall’India. Il freno anteriore mantiene la pompa idraulica. La piastra sterzo è stata modificata per accogliere il tachimetro in modo integrato. Il parafango anteriore è stato ricavato dall’unione di più pezzi di recupero di parafanghi Harley.

The 19" front wheel and 18" rear one are from a 1979 Kawasaki 750. The front brakes are from a Suzuki GS 1000. The 4 in 2 exhausts were replaced with 4 in 4 thermally covered. The carburetors now breath through conical filters. New custom rearsets have been placed on the passenger brackets. 

Le ruote, anteriore da 19” e posteriore da 18” sono di origine Kawasaki 750. I freni anteriori sono di origine Suzuki GS 1000. Quelli posteriori di serie. I collettori 4 in 2 sono stati sostituiti con dei 4 in 4 bendati termicamente. I carburatori sono stati dotati di filtri conici. Le pedane arretrate sono state posizionate sulle staffe passeggero.
